Light art stagings in the ZDF live New Year’s Eve show at the Brandenburg Gate

For the ZDF New Year’s Eve shows “Welcome 2021 / 22 / 23” live in front of the Brandenburg Gate, the Zander & Partner team was commissioned to design the video mapping on the Brandenburg Gate as well as visual art for the LED screens during the 4-hour shows.

The show acts were framed by powerful and colorful video art and at midnight there was a virtual, projected fireworks display on the capital’s landmark to ring in the new year. Spectacular firework images and sustainable too!

During the live ZDF show, which lasted several hours and was hosted by Andrea Kiewel and Johannes B. Kerner, the gate was illuminated with impressive video mappings to accompany the musical acts. From abstract color explosions to our well-known 3D productions, the façade of the world-famous landmark was transformed.
